Meet The Author
Rhonda Rose
I became a dental hygienist in 2003 after receiving my Associate of Science degree in 2000. Many years later, an unexpected accident altered my world, and I was no longer able to continue in the field that I dearly loved. I eventually became a full-time mom and aspired to
be the best I could be. I had always loved reading and making up stories with my son as the main character. While writing wasn’t my backyard, I enjoyed creating stories behind he scenes—and The Legend of Lygle was always one of my favorites.
Three years ago, I uprooted my life and settled in Florida, where I quickly became part of a welcoming writing community. When I shared The Legend of Lygle with the members of the Authors Society, they gave me all the motivation I needed to bring this book to the world. The Legend of Lygle began as a story written just for my son, and now I am thrilled to share it with you. Bringing Lygle to life has been an absolute joy, and I hope you find reading him to be just as much fun. Best of all, this is only the beginning—new books are
already in the works!

Book Synopsis
Once in a faraway land, far away from the modern technology that dominates our lives today, there lived a youngster named Ethan who was genuinely curious about the world around him. In his spare time, he enjoyed adventuring, discovering hidden places, and solving mysteries.
Every morning, before beginning his journey to his uncle’s blacksmith shop, Ethan would ambulate beneath a wooden sign emblazoned with the words “Lygle’s Blacksmithing” and a carving of a magnificent Griffin adorned with a golden breastplate. He was about to discover the origin of the shop’s name, which had long eluded him.
While playing by a river one day, Ethan uncovered a remarkable secret that altered the course of his life. There was a bright stone buried in the riverbed. The stone drew him, and as he fished it out of the river, the golden flakes began to sparkle. The calling stone seemed to be summoning something or someone by emitting a low hum that would rise to a high shriek.
A Griffin’s face would be staring back at him before long. He resembled his uncle’s sign in appearance, with golden eyes, powerful eagle wings, a lion’s body, and a golden warrior’s breastplate.
Griffin: “Lygle is a name you can call me.”
Lygle elaborated that the calling stone could only be found by virtuous, truthful, and decent people. Lygle knew Ethan would be the one to make a difference in the world once the stone chose to show itself to him and call the Griffin. As they soared over the village, Ethan gained a fresh viewpoint on his loved ones, his neighbors, and even the local troublemaker.
Kindness, perseverance, and doing what is right were lessons Ethan learned on this enchanted adventure. But how often will he see his new acquaintance? Lygle’s parting words lingered with him: “Maybe your own children will tell you a story like this someday.”
